Working on behalf of our client Painhas, The XX route, is an approximately 15km long 275kV overhead line between Easterhouse and Newarthill substations. An approximately 0.8 km section of the route to the east of Airdrie on open farmland at Wester Moffat requires to be diverted to accommodate the new University Hospital Monklands.
The site is located on an old mining ground in which ground investigative works will need to take place to validate the current design. Power grid civils are responsible for developing the Ground investigation methodology, testing and the construction of new build foundations and creation of local access roads.
