The project has been developed and selected by the Irish Government for Temporary Emergency Generation (TEG) under new legislation. The new facility will operate as an emergency plant which includes 3 Open Cycle Gas Turbine units which will have a capacity to generate 150Mwe of temporary electricity. The development will be temporarily in operation for approximately 5 years.
PGC are carrying out works on behalf of Omexom to fully install all civils scope within a new substation which includes installation of a new underground grid connection to facilitate a new 220Kv route
