Upgrading and modernisation of an existing live 275kV Line Tower Bases between Kilmarnock and Coylton, Scotland.
Works involved the careful break out & excavation of each existing tower leg base foundation. This then enabled shuttering, reinforcement & concreting works to take place in order to form the new pile cap & muff for each tower leg.
One tower leg was 100% completed before mobilisation to the next leg as not to disturb/weaken the existing tower.
